That's a tough one. Fantasy stories are more my thing, but those don't have any technology at all, right? So if I lived in a world that was completely fantasy, there wouldn't be any film projectors or park rides. Can't I choose a mix between the two?

I haven't enough of a sampling of either to know for sure, but I'm liking Jules Verne well enough. Not sure what brownies are, besides little people who clean your kitchen and wreak havoc upon your food supply.
