portland has so many crazies given its population mainly because maine has a good bottle deposit program. all of the crazies are the nicest, most non menacing people you could want populating the streets.
when i was in maine, i didnt encounter any crazies. however! i did encounter lots of rich tourists who came for the lobster.
the seattle crazies arent so non menacing. one of my favorite crazies from olympia is this guy who tells everbody ranier is gonna blow and if you dont accept jesus, youre gonna die. such a sweet old man<3

i read your journal. or at least i did today! and i was thuroughly amused for a few moments.
the thing that is most blasphemous about the town i live in is that there is -no- crazies whom roam the street. it is entirely disappointing.

a. a man who stopped me and said "son, i think you dropped something back there." i looked confused. "son, i think you dropped your smile."
b. a guy who you paid to watch him set himself on fire.
c. a man who dressed his dog up in sunglasses and made him hold the money cup.
i can't think of any more, but seattle had the most i had ever seen.
