[Warning: Spoilers Season 8 finale and Erm... I went a little crazy with the gifs... hum.]

  • ·         Oh Sam, AKA “In order to love you must forgive”.

I just had to start with him. God, Jared did an outstanding job with Sam all this season and during that finale scene, THAT scene, that” how-do-I-stop-loving-you-when-you-hurt-me-so-much-brother?”- scene.

I'm gonna be honest, y’all who read my review and follow my work know that I love Sam

I'd love to comment with something profound here, but ... well, you pretty much took all my words lol. A great review and so refreshing after reading some others laced with hate directed at either Dean or Sam. In the end, I'll always be a SamandDean! girl and your review was like a reassuring hug. Thanks for sharing!

I somewhat disagree with your assessment of Castiel, but only because I consider that, as an Angel, a lot of his choices and mistakes are that of a kid or someone just going away from home for the first time. In Season 4, we see him as the Angel of the Lord who is slowly beginning to question what he's been told. In Season 5, though mostly MIA, he has a driving force to focus on - stopping the Apocalypse and finding God. It's only when that starts to unravel that he begins to lash out (mostly at Dean, who was put in a pretty crappy position of figurehead for everyone) or make mistakes (the 'bender' he went on). From what we saw of Heaven in season 6, power is what makes you top-dog, and Angels tend to do things in the most extreme ways. Balthazar doesn't just misdirect SamandDean with some long Hunt, he sends them to an Alternate Universe to get an angel off his back. He doesn't just undo something small that no one would notice, he UNSINKS the Titanic. Angels don't fine-tune things, they hit it with a sledgehammer and seem surprised ( ... )

I understand where you're coming from, and I actually thought about all of this, especially the fact that Castiel is an angel with an angel-mentality somewhat still inncocent. But this is where we disagree I guess beacuse, Castiel should have know better by now. Everybody and I mean everybody changed, grow up and learn. Everybody makes mistakes. The game is about to learn from the mistakes you made and try to never do the same. Castiel doesn't learn, he doesn't grow up and doesn't accept any point of view that is different from his, at least when it comes to heaven. And from season 6 to season 8, he had make things worst. This is on him and many tried to stop him and reason with him but it didn't work because even when he had been wrong before, the dude is still convinced he's doing the right things. The innocent-child-like-excuse doesn't work anymore and I don't think Cas is being valoring his grace. Might be a good thing if he realizes precicelly what he lost ( ... )

I understood that Sam was deep bones terrified that he would screw things up even worst that they were by looking for his brother, after all we all remember what happened when he went on a quest to avenge Dean. Oh... OH!! This makes so much sense damn it! This HAS to be totally spot on!! I understood too that Sam was honestly trying to do what was best, following Dean's advice of not looking for him even if maybe his whole being told him to search... because he never trusts his own judgement anymore... and then afterwards he was hurt realizing he had screwed again and how much that must have hurt him. I understood also that everytime Sam is completely cool and encourages Dean to go with other characters (like he did telling him to go with Cas when he was to frakking close the gates of hell!) he's just putting up a front, he is hurt but he believes that he doesn't deserve to be with Dean ( ... )

Sweetie! Thank you! Oh I'm so very glad I could havce give a soothing balm for the stink that was Sam not looking for Dean, I mean, the finale said it all but still if my review help get things clear, well I'm all for that! ^^

It was truly a great finale with emotions and honesty we haven't seen in a long time! I'm glad we all liked it and I cannot wait for S9 too!

Thank you again dear!

Kiss <3

Erin.
