· Oh Sam, AKA “In order to love you must forgive”.
I just had to start with him. God, Jared did an outstanding job with Sam all this season and during that finale scene, THAT scene, that” how-do-I-stop-loving-you-when-you-hurt-me-so-much-brother?”- scene.
I'm gonna be honest, y’all who read my review and follow my work know that I love Sam

Wow. This review is amazing. You have such a poignant way of explaining these story points. And you actually helped me see a valid, logical way for why Sam didn't look for Dean. That makes me feel so much better now. Thank you. If you don't mind, I'm going to share this on my journal (linking back to you with credit of course). Everyone needs to read this!
Back to you! I saw your pimping and comment on it, but Thank you so much and agin for reading and sharing my review! That's awesome and making you feel better about the debut of S8 and Sam's lack of search is definitely a plus! Thank you sweetie.
Thank you! I'm very happy you liked this and the finale! and Gosh what a finale! it deserve a review and I'm very touched and grateful if I could share my thoughts and feelings with you and everyone in this wonderful fandom!
Jared really deserve some an emmy for this season, he went beyond his limits to do all of this and I'm so so so proud of the actor he have become. I'm pretty sure Jensen is too ^^
I absolutely loved your review, especially your discussion of Dean and Sam. Like so many, I was upset with Sam at the beginning of the season because he didn't look for Dean. I tried very hard to see his point of view, but came up short time and time again. And then Sam's reluctance to get back on the road again with Dean added to my frustration in regards to Sam. So, when Sam said the things that he said to Dean, I was like you, I forgave Sam totally and completely. We all finally understood where Sam was coming from

Wow. Now that what I call a feedback! Thank you sweetie for those wonderful thoughts and for reading my review. I completely agree on so much you said and I'm thrilled that this season finale drawn so much reactions emotions and enthusiam from all of us!
I know you don't know me, but I just have to say your analysis is so amazing; it fits so well with what we've seen of Sam, taking all that he's shown us and deducing what he thinks and feels and it makes such perfect sense.
I was a bit of a latecomer, and one of the things that drew me so strongly is the rich characterization that is strongest because of the intertwining, and how effectively it's been able to shift across the series, from John/Dean/Sam to Dean/Sam/Bobby to Dean/Sam/Cas and so on. There's just so much good stuff to explore that the academic in me keeps doing backflips even though she doesn't know how.
Thank you so much for your comments. I really appreciate them. This episode really did tie in a lot about Sam for me, as I explained here. There are many times when the show neglects Canon for the sake of the storyline, and then there are times where they really do get it right and tie in everything so seamlessly

I wish I could respond with something witty or break open my ill-used academese, but I think I'm still absorbing all the threads that have led to the point where Sam and Dean laid it all bare in ways they haven't done in . . . ever? Sometimes the enormity of everything just takes you aback, and I feel like Jared and Jensen nailed it so beautiful in that one scene, where emotions and words and everything just came together perfectly.
My big problem with Sam's speech is that nowhere does he say that he has made mistakes. What he says is "what happens when you've decided I can't be trusted again?" thus blaming it on Dean and his reactions.
Totally agree, but Sam does say that he confessed his greatest sin was how many times he let Dean down. That seems like an admission of mistakes to me.

I have loved all seasons of Show. I loved season eight, even when it puzzled me or made me mad, and i cannot *wait* for season nine. :)

It's in character for Sam, but not a nice trait.
