I'm a teenager who has lived a charmed life.

That logically means, that I think I'll live forever (even though I logically know I won't), and I have a screw-everything attitude, because everything works out in the end. I mean, when life and the world is only beginning to open up, it's kind of hard not to be extremely optimistic about everything.

I totally know how you feel. Back when I had (bad) shin splints, it was unbelievably frustrating to watch the rest of the xc team going on runs while I had to sit there icing my leg. But yeah, just be glad we're privileged enough to be able to afford medical treatment that other people may not have access to, and that more likely than not you'll soon be back to normal. _____
