Yesterday was the funeral for my friend. Even after all the funerals I have been to, they really don't get any easier. I've just learned to stay at the very back to avoid the contagious cry syndrome. You know, one person starts, the person beside them starts, etc, etc

That does totally seem like he is calling you a liar! What a jerk. If I were you, I would just give the regular two weeks notice, acutally what I would want to do is hand in my two weeks notice before I left on vacation! But, money and all that stuff is important I guess!

I've been handing out resumes all over but no one seems to want me. I would love to leave here and go straight to a new job (because yes.. money = good) but I'm pretty much at my wits end. I'd love to go into my Admin Managers office right now to tell her.. but I just dont know. So much crap >_< argh!

Wow, bad boss is confrontational in a bad way. He had to be trying to accomplish something with that. And what does he mean "everyone thinks you've been interviewing a lot"... It's probably just him, and if it is "everyone"... You totally have a good reason to quit, because overly gossipy workplaces are the worst. And the comment about "no ambition", they don't even have that much work to do anyway, so what the hell. I really hope you find something else soon, because anything is better than that place.

I'm just going to be checking my voice mail a whole lot waiting and hoping i get an interview soon. figure with all the kids going back to school something must come along.

Yeah, for sure. I don't know if you wanna work at a mall (because retail is fairly boring), but I know that at Sherway Gardens (where I work), pretty much every single store has a hiring sign at their window. There's a Pickle Barrel and they're probably hiring, I know Milestones on the Queensway (in front of the Cineplex Odeon) is hiring full-time kitchen staff (huge sign along the Queensway), and I know Sporting Life in Sherway Gardens is hiring both full-time and part-time sales staff and cashiers (you seem sporty with all the baseball and stuff)... Even I'm thinking about applying to Sporting Life... Their stuff is sweet.

Unfortunately, Sherway isn't really close. It's the other end of the city for me. So with travel and all i wouldnt be making all that much. SQ1 is probably the furthest I would travel for a cook job atm.
