So apparently at least a couple people missed me yesterday. My parents and Colton and I left at 8:30 to head to Blacksburg and, more specifically, VTech. We planned to leave at 7:45, but then all of the roads we could have taken were closed. So we spend a few hours in the car, and arrive at my brother's house. We talk to him and his fiancee for a while, and then we all head down to the basketball arena for Jeremy's graduation. He could have graduated last spring, but since he double majored he did an extra semester. Woohoo, one more graduation for me. I'm trying to set a record for the most graduations attended before going to college. Let's see... so far I have TJ '01 (Jeremy), TJ '03 (Seamus), TJ '05 (singing with the choir), and VT winter '05 (Jeremy again, college this time). Still to come: TJ '06 (Colton and singing), TJ '07 (singing and several friends), Syracuse '07 (Seamus college), TJ '08 (probably/hopefully me, and if not then several friends), Chantilly '08 (friends, maybe me), Herndon '08 (Catherine)... and then I'll be in college. Of course, I'll also have to go to TJ '09 for Alexa. If none of these plans fall through, that'll be a total of 11 graduations. Score. Oh, and of course there'll be mine and Colton's from college. So I'll hit at least 13 graduations in my lifetime. I wonder what the record is?
Anyway, back to VT... after graduation, we went to a Japanese resteraunt called Kabuki and it was AWESOME! I'll be honest, our table got seemingly the only white cook in the place, but that doesn't mean he wasn't great. And yes, I mean cook. The food is prepared right at the table. It's like a whole show, and the food is delicious, and - it's just great. I got to try a lime daquiri*. Yum. Then we go home, open a bottle of champagne (no one caught the cork; I got half a glass but didn't like it) and talk for a while more. It was fun. Then my parents and Colton and I go to a hotel for the night. Today we woke up, went back to Jeremy's house, switched our things from our van to his Dodge, and came home. Alexa, I would have been at practice, but when we were getting close-ish to home it was about 4:30, and we'd have to get home, unpack and get me to the place, and then I'd only have, like, half an hour, so I was like, screw it, Mr. Frels doesn't expect me anyway. The way I see it, I'm not going to miss caroling and not Requiem. One is fun, the other is going to kill me. Guess which is which! So it evens out.
So anyway, yeah. My mom and I are now going to go shopping, because OMG I still need presents for like thirty people. I kid you not; wanna see my list? No, no you don't. And I need a present for Sarah's b-day. Soo, later!
And yes, Amanda, I stole your icon. But I did it before you decided. And I credited it to the maker.
*Virgin, of course.
