Man, I work on Saturday, and it's Sweetest Day. That means it's gonna be crowded. That sucks. :[ And the next day is Boss's Day, which means we'll have two holidays in a row. I think it's funny that Boss's Day is on Sunday

Hmm. Well, I tell you what. If I were you, i would celebrate Valentine's day with your girlfriend, but not sweetest day. Just give her a friendly reminder a few days before sweetest day that it is just a hallmark holiday and that she is sweet every day, and you could never pick just one to mark it.
How do these new holidays get invented, anyways? Sweetest Day started during my senior year (I distinctively remember Sweetest Day signs in cafeteria during study hall, and writing jokes about it), so it's had a pretty long lifespan. Personally, I just like one holiday per month. If anything, they should have a second Halloween-type holiday for mid-October, so the celebration lasts longer... Halloween always sneaks up on me, and then it's over before I know it. Either that, or put Sweetest day in February and make the whole "romantic holiday" a seasonal thing.
