I can't believe anybody thought you were the impulsive kind (i.e. i quit cos i hate my job/boss/colleagues!!!). you are the most organised person i know, in terms of planning, and every major decision you've made has gone through a series of thought processes.

anyway i find it annoying that you would have to explain yourself to people who can't mind their own business.

gd luck! i hope you get that scholarship. i'll be behind you all the way =)
