directed to mark and brad - I want to take comp sci next year. is it a lot of work? does it meet every day. Knowing me, would you say, "hell no don't take it"? I am very curious to see what I would be getting myself into ( Read more... )

So is comp sci hard? No, is the simple answer. But if you do take it be ready to learn about how to put data (such as numbers or objects) together in very odd ways. The hardest stuff you can do in that class is sorting... which canbe pretty bad, but you only had to do that if you were going to take the AP. The non-AP section is very lax and is mainly just a problem solving cource, where as the ap is more difficult problem solving. So... the choice is up to you! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Definitely take it. It's not that bad, there's hardly any outside of class work (well, I didnt have any all year, but that's because i had taken the class before). I'd reccomend taking the AP prep class, just because otherwise you won't learn data structures and algorithms, which are really important if you ever want to take another comp sci class.
