[Vita is reading a newspaper! The whole Orb fiasco is on the front page, of course. The headlines are pretty angry.]Not that it sounds like that went great--and I'm talking about the GDF's own report, here--but you guys saved the universe. Shouldn't that buy at least a few years of goodwill? Trying to keep people happy on this planet is like ( Read more... )

Some of my former superiors in Shadow-Mirrors term this the 'mob mentality'.

Then folks should be mob happy or something for once!

I believe the definition is to mean that in a mob of sufficiently big size, their average intelligence will default to match with the person who has the least intelligence quotient within the group.

The problem is there was no real clean way to get through it all.

Even if it had just been Miss Athha and her subordinates trying to capture Djibril, she would have had to worry about the Chaos, Abyss, and MP, nuclear-powered versions of Blue Cosmos's old three Gundams.

Yeah, sounds like a mess.

The most important thing is he left. Thanks to GaoGaiGar we disabled the nuclear Gundams without any loss of civilian life, and thanks to Kira sending the Destiny I was able to help Miss Athha.

Without the civilian population of Orb -or any other country, for that matter-, Djibril's days are numbered.

It's easy to forget terrible things when life goes on as normal, but when innocents die, they're gone forever, and people remember for quite a while. In some ways, that's a good thing.

Not forgetting people is a good thing, sure, but forgetting the close calls is stupid. Those're supposed to be how you learn.

Most people on Earth can't accept how close they come to planetary annihilation on a weekly basis. I can't really say I blame them for that.

I can. Life is stupid, get used to it already!

Yeah that sounds about right. Not a lot you can do about it though, so don't worry about it.

Not thinking about things is exactly why people annoy me!

Then get used to being annoyed. Personally, I'm going to drag the Earth through this kicking and screaming.

Like I'm not already used to that. Good luck with that, though.
