Yay, how exciting! Deal with anyone negative as minimally as possible. Give them the details they really need, and leave it at that. Make it clear that you've make your choice, you're confident in it, and looking forward to it. Chris' mom was really freaked out over us having Lilliana at home, so after the initial conversations we just stopped talking about it with her. No point in letting their issues bring you down :)
Did you like your homebirth? I feel so confident, happy and excited about our decision, and i trust my body. but i hate hearing everyone who we tell it about, the "what if's" omg, drives me a little pregnant crazy, lol sorry, just a ranting ;)
i would hate to hear what they'd say if i tell them how i'm going to eat my placenta as well ;)~ hahahaha..
Yay! I'm set on a homebirth next time around, too. So many people are horrified by it & can't understand that it's far from an uninformed "lol I just don't wanna go to the hospital" decision. Immediate family is hard, but deal with the negativity as much as possible. I'd probably even keep it mostly to myself until afterwards and be like... Yep. I did that. :D
