Borrowed from Saabisu - I found this quite interesting as I am Canadian & supposedly we speak different than our neighbours (yes that's how we spell neighbours here in Canada but pronouce it the same)to the south... I don't hear a difference at all (well of course it depends on the area in the US where your from of course)

Your country is kind of funny like that. The whole "eh" thing is silly. Upper Midwestern has a strong stereotypical canadian accent mixed with flat US speak. Plus, Canada has two official languages and one is hardly a language.

Well personally I think both languages are valid... Try learning to speak French.

Anyway about the eh thing, from what I have experienced most American's say hey or huh as much as we say eh & really we do not say it all that often it's more American's sterotyping us.
