Zepharum I was wondering if I could ask a favour of you.... What is it you ask? Well since you are as into music as I am if not more which I didn't think was possible, I was hoping I could pick your brain when you have a few free minutes ( Read more... )

I'd be happy to help! I'm pretty traditional as far as wedding music goes, so I'll tell you what I like, but I'll add some more to it this evening when I get home and have access to my ipod and speakers. I can't really scroll through my music collection at work.

The only two songs I know I would use for sure are:

Eva Cassidy - Songbird (That would probably be for the first dance)
John Lennon - Love (I'm not sure where to use this, because the intro is sort of long, but I love this song and I'd like to use it somewhere)

My friends who recently got married used U2 - Beautiful Day as their reception entrance and I thought it was perfect. The intro to that song is very nice and it made for a dramatic entrance.

I'll post this on my friends list too so hopefully some other people will throw their input in! :) If nothing else, I'll probably leave ten comments today as I think of more!

There was a poll on the radio last week about what was the #1 band for wedding songs. I guess it was Aerosmith because of Don't Want to Miss a Thing. I don't like that song personally, but I can understand why it's so popular. I just thought of that.

Yeah it's not their best but I guess it was so popular due to it being from the film "armageddon", which was ok but don't understand why some folk cried at it! I'm surprised that *that* Bryan adams song wasn't voted no1 for best wedding song

I didn't say best, I said most popular. I would have to say there would be a big difference there.

Which Bryan Adams are you refering to? There are plenty of mushy Bryan songs that could qualify as wedding songs.
