hey tanya, yeah our system sucks.. i'm definitely going to look into it, and i'm sure a bunch of us could put together some kind of response. fortunately the majority of americans are on your side, and even politicians, so it's definitely not worthless. if the law made it through to the point where it got vetoed, there's actually half a chance it could get somewhere. people like you / your personal story & determination is what really helps... but at the end of the day, with our without surgery, we all know you are going to accomplish great things.. but if there is a possiblity to make it happen, i'd do anything to help.

i love my bush, but fuck him for not passing that law. i don't have to agree with him all the time ; )

i know something great is going to happen to you with all this ... unfortunately it's one of those things that may take a while to happen. i support you no matter what you ultimately decide to try.

well the good news is that at least CONGRESS supported it, so it doesn't mean that the Evil Empire (and no, i'm NOT talking about the Yankees) has all the control or even influence in this -- there's hope, although i know it doesn't feel like it. :( i WILL talk to my CodePink ladies & see if we can't get some actions going on up here, too!! i think it's a more than worthy cause for us to take up.
