You know, I have heard about it happening if it wasn't a super close relation. That's still pretty raunchy. EA doesn't allow teen pregnancy (not saying it's any better) but incest - yeah that's fine!

Boris and Shirley are too adorable together.

EA has a twisted sense of what related is.
I have sims heart farting over their great aunts and uncles all the time, it's pretty gross and also pretty annoying when they take up a space in the super awesome magical crystal ball.

The game has a little bit of trouble with great-anythings, I've figured out. xD Still, that's pretty bad.

It's pretty straight forward. One of the cool features of Sims 2 is that you can extract sims that are born in your game and share them with other Sims 2 players. I'm part of pixel_trade, it's a comm for fans of the game. We share sims with each other and set up legacy challenges and the like. Then, we take screenshots while we're playing and edit those pics and create update posts of what's going on in our games. It's lots of fun and makes the game more interesting.
