I totally understand what you're going through, so please don't think I'm discrediting your emotions, but take an objective look at what you just wrote. You are a strong and interesting woman who deserves happiness, or if nothing else, growth. You seem to be stalling from your worst fear, but do you still want to be in a relationship that's putting you through so much termoil? I'm not saying that things can't work out if you really want them to, but do you want to bring in all this extra stress for something that's suposed to make you happy

It was the not knowing and the constant bad butterflies in my stomach that really got to me. In a twisted way, it was a bit of a relief after it ended. Not that this has much to do with your situation.
However, if it does, then you can have a fuck buddy who's no stress for 3 months until you finally decide to say 'yes' when he asks you out. Then you get closer and still don't mind seeing each other every day, even after 6 months. :) life has a way of bouncing back.
