Have arrived safe and sound at Hogwarts, as promised. See, I told you there was nothing to worry about. In fact, I ran into Lil on my way up to the owlery and she seemed quite overjoyed to see me, so, see, it's a good thing I came back.
I hope this owl finds you well. IT was nice to see so much of you the past few days, even if the circumstances were less than pleasant.
What the bloody hell was that? You call that a letter? I mean, especially after...look, I'm not exactly your healer or anything, but really, 'i hope this finds you well?' 'It was nice to see you?' Really, how more impersonal con you get? Or did Lil get a hold of it and try to generalize it?
And well, yes, speaking of Lil, it's very nice to know she's happy to see you and everything, and send her my love would you? And make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble. You know Lil.
And yes, for your information, I happen to be quite well. Or I was before that letter you sent Or maybe I wasn't. But you're resting right? and if you EVER try somethign that STUPID, at the very least without me around to take a look, I will wait until you're fully healed and throttle you myself. Nearly had a bloody heart attack.

I'm sorry, Abby, trul. I was in a bit of a hurry to get the letter sent and get back to that resting you and Lil and all the healers all seem to insist I ned an.. well, alright, I'll admit I am still a bit tired. And I didn't want you to worry if you didn't get something from me straight away, so I was trying to get something off quickly and.. I'm babbling, but really the last thing I intended was to upset you.
And I'm sorry I scared you. I was bloody daft and I know that, rushing into that tomb like a.. a Gryffindor. I don't know what I was thinking and you have my full permission to hex me into next year if I ever do that again.
I promise I will rest and I won't overexert myself. And I will watch out for Lil, as I always do. I would never let anything happen to her. I hope you know that.
And I miss you, too. Perhaps when I'm all better we could meet in Hogsmeade for a drink or something.

And you scared the bloody hell out of me Ailwin. God...and I had to read about it in the Prophet...and it was awful Ailwin, just imagine what that was like. And if you ever do I swear I'll do all manner of torturous things to you.
I do know you watch out for Lil, and I can't thank you enough for that, really. You've been so great with her and everything.
