i've read the gospels. not the protestant version though, the catholic version of the new testament.

gibson gets the spirit of it completely wrong.................

but that doesn't really matter, as both he and his dad are fanatics who reject Vatican II and think that the Pope is a traitor.

As far as the Anti-Semitism, that's a matter of opinion. The only thing I got from that movie was IT SUCKED ASS TO BE JESUS

I only found it slightly anti-semetic because historically it was wrong.
