THIS is a Squirtle Shell! Note the embroidered detailing, the white rim (made from a fleece covered pool noodle ^o^), and the sheer size!
IGNORE the very bottom-- it will be stitched closed once we work out how the tails are working.
THIS is the inside of a Squirtle Shell, with the front overlaid (the foam isn't trimmed yet, so you'll have to imagine). Note the pretty embroidered detail, the lovingly lined interior of the shell . . . did I mention the pool noodle? Exquisite.
Here's both, side by side-- use the bed as a guide to how HUGE they are!
And here are Squirtle feet! We started by drawing a pattern on posterboard, transferring to foam, cutting a hole in the foam, and hot-gluing the flip-flops into the middle. Tres cool, eh?
And there's the Squirtle update . . . what? 4 pics ain't heavy enough? Well . . . they're big. And I'm tired. More as we make them, folks!
