On to the North

Last Tuesday, we put two dogs and four cats into the car, drove to Ongar and deposited them at the Animal Country Club where, as usual, the dogs leaped at the kennel girls wagging their tails and the cats headed straight for the beds under the heat lamps. That wasn't the half of it. There were three more greenhouses, and half a dozen shopping areas, plus a macaw and water features (I was very fond of the nessie.) But the best bit, for me, was finding a new version of jelly snakes at the checkout - jelly meercats!

Which village? We know that area fairly well from years of visiting. We've stayed in Skipton as well as visiting -- it's one of our favourite towns. They have wonderful pubs that admit dogs. *sigh*

The Russian girls are old ladies now. They are retired breeding queens (and sisters) and their offspring and descendants are winning all over the place. Our friend took in a retired queen from a rather important Northern breeder, and when Tiggy died, she was soon contacted to see if she wanted to take the other two.
