Watching Ant-Man

Watching 'Ant-Man'. Makes even less sense than the comics. Never have been able to stand Scott Lang - and Hope isn't a patch on Jan (who would have given this version of Hank hell for this caper.) Sorry I didn't get back to this earlier. Jan is 'Janet Van Dyne' a character in several different comic book lines, aka 'The Wasp' (and Giant Girl in Marvel Adventure: Avengers the 'family friendly' line.) One time wife/lover of Hank Pym who was the original Ant-Man (and Giant Man, and Goliath, and Yellowjacket but that's Marvel for you.) Founder member of 'The Avengers' and the person who gave them their name. Leader of 'The Avengers' during some of their most interesting adventures. Successful fashion designer (the main Marvel universe) or scientist (Ultimates.) One of the nicest, kindest, funniest, most feminine, smartest, sassiest, bravest characters in the Marvel Universe. Reduced to a ten second cameo in the 'Ant-Man' film where she is killed off as motivation for Pym and why he won't let her ultra-competent daughter be a superhero in her shoes.

Yes, I am annoyed. I love Jan. I particularly love her in the cartoon 'Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' and in the main comics universe.
