Where the Wild Things are

Friends are like bras: close to your heart and there for support.Watched where the wild things are and well, I came out with mixed feelings toward the film. Surely you've read on your friend's list of people stating, "Where the Wild Things Are is NOT for kids", and they're right. It's not. Yeah, the movie reminded me of being a kid and being alone a lot. It isn't a happy-happy movie. But maybe that's why I liked it a lot. If you understand that each of the Wild Things represents a part of who Max is and get how the events of the story help him sort out his own feelings, it's quite enjoyable. I liked how it was from a kid's point of view and wasn't a bubbly flashy fuzzy feel-good kid's movie... It was "real." In the end Max does sorts out his emotions and figures out he needs his family and misses them, so in that regard it was a happy ending.

I'll have to go see it again.
