does someone i know have horses? i seem to remember lately having a discussion where i was told that someone has horses. but that could really be a dream at this point. which would be disappointing.
when i was a kid my mom told me if i learned how to play two instruments, she would give me riding lessons. [it should be noted that i'm really allergic ( Read more... )

I love horses, but I've only been horseback riding once -- in Girl Scouts when I was like 10 years old.

I hate "sometime," too. My best friend says that all the time and nothing ever comes of if. I think I'll start asking for specifics, too.

Snow? I'm jealous. We've forgotten what snow looks like here. I'm still waiting for the first snowfall of this awfully mild winter.

i think i would be more okay with the snow if i had been expecting it. but no- everyone went on and on about how BC never gets snow and it always rains. so i didn't bring along proper winter stuff or mentally prep myself for it!
i'm sure you'll get some your way soon!

You didn't dream it, I'm the awesome one with the horses. My family owns two horses.

You played the flute and the bassoon -- who are you? and why can't you be predictable!

don't worry- i'm sure all my secrets are out at this point. from here on in, i'll be predictable.

I think my family having horses is what brought up the discussion of going to Utah in the first place. Like "oh your family has horses? Sweet, I'm going to Utah."
But if it makes you feel any better, my entire childhood I was asking for a pony. Never got one. Then my family buys two horses when my littlest sister asked for a horse (and I was in college at this point). I think we know who the favorite in the family is...

It seems like your secrets will never be all out. Right when I think your secrets are all out, you spring something else on me. "What? She played the flute and the bassoon?", "What? She's one of those people that changes in front of open windows?" It never ends!

but i don't do it when all the lights are on! i swear no one can see me.

(i should really go out on the field one night and actually see how much people can see into that window. you can come along for the ride and laugh at me when i discover the truth.)

oh man, i took riding lessons in gr 8 for about 6 months. it was fun but also sad, because i really dont think those horses wanted to get ridden by jerk-face kids all day. they would get super excited when they got to go graze and super stubborn when you put their shit on. -and you really had to boot them sometimes to get them to run. poor work horsies. :P
