three commercials that are making me insane:
the source: cell phones and mp3 players for your back to school needs. riiiiight. since when is a cell phone or an mp3 player going to help? or, specifically, a 15 year old- because honestly, i think we know who their target audience is.

Kool Aid totally doesn't mention how bad artificial sweeteners are or how artificial colors are bad, especially for children, and can cause crazy allergic reactions and hyperactivity.

Tuition makes me sad too. Looks like my scholarship finally went through and my balance with the school is -$34??

I made muffins!! And ate two today. Zucchini muffins. They're delicious. I'll bring one for breakfast tomorrow.. and maybe lunch. They've got a vegetable AND a fruit AND whole grains. What could be bad? :P

oh my goodness that sounds good!! mine were oatmeal. i can't wait to play around with recipes though.
yay for scholarships! i paid off part of mine using my credit card- this way i get the air miles and then i'll transfer money from my student loan. mildly complicated. but it works.

I'm with ya on the whole kool aide being 10 calories thing. you know the stir 'em up singles? well the commercial that play for it is the one where the kids in a plane see the kool aide man stranded on an island and they land and he goes off and tells them about the new drink. well there used to be this one part where he's like offering them the singles and one kid says "make mine grape" or something but then the kool aide man totally screams as the kid, "make it yourself" and I don't know...it made me laugh at the wrongness of the commercial. Anyways, the new cut for that commercial doesn't include that part and that makes me laugh too.

Ewwww... the garbage strike is still going on- that's insane! (and reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer becomes the garbage commissioner or something and spends all the city's money on fancy uniforms and trucks) ... can you maybe dump your garbage at a store dumpster in the middle of the night when no one is watching? It's illegal here, but I think I'd probably still chance it.

it's getting gross. for reals. it's been six weeks and i'm not sure they are any closer to resolving.
it probably is illegal, but we've already done it once ;) unfortunately we don't have a car. then again, we are renting so it's not as if i'm worried about garbage on our property. haha. so currently it's just building up in the alley. boo.
