I felt so much at the end of this. It hurts to see Dan be so...Dan. I want him to get his happy ending so badly.

Oh, and the cake tasting plus the duck feeding were my super favorite parts though I enjoyed the whole piece.

Yay! Not the part about Dan hurting, but it feeling authentic. I'm excited to explore him. He's the only GG character I haven't written for yet.

Oh, and the cake tasting plus the duck feeding were my super favorite parts though I enjoyed the whole piece.

I thought the cake tasting might be super obvious and cliche, but it seems to be working. So double yay!

The feeding the ducks part was important because Blair's letting him in, really letting him in, not just talking about this thing that's so meaningful to her, but actually taking him. I wanted to create that bond.

This was the entire point of the fic. I hate what the writers have done to Blair this season. This is my way of fixing it.
