You could have used real oil too:) or Krylon paint.

I love the kanji. I'd never noticed that on her costume before!

I have the feeling real oil would make it a total pain to store, so I stuck with something a bit more "safe."

Bhahah I used real oil/grease on my Cally costume! But that's only because I didn't have time to weather it before the convention, and we coincidentally happened to have a flat tyre from a couple of days before sitting in the trunk ;) Aaron Douglas was very impressed ;)

Ah, weathering is a true test of your cosplay skills. We work so hard to AVOID wrecking our hard-earned cosplays and whatnot most of the time that it's funny when we actually HAVE to make them dirty! xD

I don't know the fandom, but I sure can appreciate good cosplays and good pictures :D.
