Does anyone know what happens to all of one's userpics if one has to let one's paid account temporarily lapse? Will I get them back when I'm able to go paid again or will I have to upload them all over again?

I believe they should come back once you reinstate.

I don't want to let it lapse, but I'm not sure it's the best way to spend money right now, considering Mr. C's job is leaving him in a couple of months. On the other hand, if I hadn't happened to be on my profile page, it would have automatically billed me and I wouldn't have noticed until it was done. So now connundrum. Be responsible or be foolish?

Maybe they give you a few weeks grace, sending you polite reminders, and then dump them? I am guessing.

I hope there's some grace period if I have to let it lapse. I have a week to decide.

They stay in your account, just deactivated. Supposedly only the ones you use the most remain active, though from my experience, the "selection" process is random like a random thing.

But, yeah-- I don't know if there's a time limit on how long they stay, but the times I've let my paid account lapse, I got them all back after.

Thank you so much for the info! That makes it an easier decision. Not a much easier one, but slightly easier. Hopefully, I'd only have to let it lapse for a month or less.
