I think I've figured out why I find it so hard to write in LJ... well, a few reasons. I don't like sitting at a computer longer than I have to for work (yup, back issues), and the fact is, do I want others to see inside? Well, maybe it's not such a bad idea. I haven't done my taxes since 2002. Well, I did them last year, I just didn't mail them in. Bleh.

You should start live journaling. I'll add you so you can see that we're all completely insane and that's what makes us fun and interesting.

I'm glad you decided to post. Aside from other benefits, it's a way to keep in touch with people you don't see very often (as long as they keep a journal too).

I agree with what Elise said. Besides, you can limit who reads your entries if you want. I've gone back and forth on this quite a bit and decided in the end, I am just too private to hang my guts out there. I feel I can be more honest and creative if I feel I am writing something just for a select few who know my name. That works for me, but there is no wrong way to do it.

I would start reading some journals and you'll probably feel more comfortable about writing your own.
