All of them?

OK, that's cheating.

Billy - because it's Lilah being strong yet weak at the same time and showing her whole 'strength in weakness' side.

The first Faith episode - because it's so clear she wants Faith and vice versa ;)

The first episode of S4 - because it makes it quite clear that sex and love *completes* Lilah, it doesn't weaken her.

Habeus Corpus - because it's more pure Lilah characterisation - not good, but the accdptable side of evil.

Untouched - early Lilah, still rocking!

And that's that.

Ooh, I really like that. And I bet that came as a surprise to Lilah too, huh?

Actually I don't think it did. Or if it was, it was a surprise for all of 0.0000001 of a second then she assimilated it. It's the catharsis and end of the dark path she was dragged down mentally after surviving the wine cellar assault.

S4
1. Home: "It means something that you tried".
2. Apocalypse Nowish: "If I pray real hard..."
3. Habeas Corpses: The grey speech.
4. Calvary: "Pretty things".
5. Deep Down: Decapitating Linwood the bastard.

S1-3
1. Billy: The shoe fight/reclaiming her power
2. Dead End: "Could you stab me in the back..."
3. Reunion: The wine cellar.
4. Untouched: Player/playee.
5. Tomorrow: The first time for Wes and Lilah.

Billy: The shoe fight/reclaiming her power

Hell. Yeah. I loved seeing all sorts of answers to/takes on misogyny/abuse, and ways to deal-or-not. Seeing Lilah standing there with the gun was shocking as hell at first, but also absolutely Lilah.

I love that Home is on everybody's list. I could list every S4 episode that she's in (and even Inside Out for Wesley mourning with Angel caring), so there were some hard cuts to get to only 5.

5. Salvage - I know it's not really *her*, but she breaks me none the less.

4. Home - "It means something that you tried." *cries for 10 minutes in memory*

3. Tomorrow - for sugar stack building and taunting before sex. And that lovely shot of SR's naked back. *swoon*

2. Habeas Corpses - the sewer scene kills me. She wants to tell him, but is brave in the end. Love her for that.

1. Slouching towards Bethlehem - for the last scene. Lilah showing Wesley that this is not going to be simple. Plus I love her dress.

Heh, yup, Home is definitely the clearcut winner here.

1. Slouching towards Bethlehem - for the last scene. Lilah showing Wesley that this is not going to be simple. Plus I love her dress.

That's definitely one of my fave Wesley/Lilah scenes ever. The whole episode just perfectly sums up their relationship, in all its good and bad, for me.

*sniffles* Oh, Slouching Toward Bethlehem. It goes back to kitsune76 about Lilah being strengthened and completed by love, and that sudden realization that while she can use Wesley for her own purposes, Lilah benefited more from the emotional/personal stability being with Wesley gave her, and so yeah.

Much to say there about a relationship entered into for informational gain that was actually strong because of the personal stability each one gained from it to be better at what they did. They were crappy at getting intel a la Jack and Irina, but suddenly you had a Wesley who could get Angel back from an impossible situation and a Lilah who could get Wolfram and Hart after years of being the brightest one there...and actually succeed at her plans.

Yes, there was a confidence they each gained and that Wesley kept until Conviction, really. I know that it was an impossible situation, them on different sides of the battle, but you're right that they each grew stronger because of the other, and the simple interpretation of "She's evil; he's not. It'll never work" just doesn't wash. *loves the OTP* StB shows all the complexity of their relationship, but also the easy, fun time that they probably had together much of the time. It's only with Wesley that we ever see Lilah relaxed (relaxed, sated, close enough) in all the run of the series.

This is so hard. SO hard. But I kept it down to five. In descending order:

5. Billy- kinda for that scene with Cordy, but mostly for the shooting at the end. That was cool.

4. Slouching Towards Bethlehem- for the red negligee, for the dollar, for playing Wes like a chump, and for the scene at the end.

3. Ground State- as my roommate said, "It's PORN!" And taunting Wes by threatening to go after Conner was wicked. I'm sure she was well punished for that. ;) Plus, can't forget her scene with Angel at the end. "I'm still EVIL. I don't do errands unless they're... Evil. Errands.

2. Calvary- For bringing the snark against Angel's team. For being in it for herself. For wanting revenge, and wanting her pretty things back. For knocking Angelus down the stairs, and for her St. Cordelia jab.

1. Deep Down- this would be here even without the scene with Wes at the beginning. Contacting a Senior Partner, and convincing them to put her in charge? Decapitating Linwood and making Gavin clean it up? That's MY Lilah ( ... )

Decapitating Linwood and making Gavin clean it up?

Heh, the latter part remains one of my fave Lilah/Gavin moments, along with The Price: "Congratulations, Lilah." / "Thanks, Gavin. Can we stop feigning now?" / "Sure."
(Sidenote - ew, the buffyworld.com transcript of The Price inexplicably cuts out all of the Lilah scenes, how weird.)

Hee.

The Lilah scenes in the Price were all subplotty- maybe they weren't in the original script, but added later? Still, if they're trying to provide script resources, they really should fix that.

No, this is an actual transcript of the show. A dedicated fan with a tv by a computer. Every other one I've seen is complete afaik...it's just SO WEIRD that those things would be missing! That's my weird internet mystery of the day, heh.

5. Tomorrow - For the fabulous scenes with Wesley in the bar, and for the bed scene with Wes
4. Billy - Because I love me some vicious bitch solidarity, and the end scene kicks major ass
3. Slouching Towards Bethlehem - The first scene with the snuggles and the dollar bill makes me twitch with cuteness everytime I watch it, then Lilah gets to be sneaky and manipulative which makes me happy, and then the whole "trust" conversation rocks me almost to tears.
2. Habeas Corpses - Was going to be "Rain of Fire" because of her wonderfully sarcastic take on Fred, but I realized what I loved more about it was the fallout from that scene in this episode when she hugs him and you can see how glad she is that he's okay. I also love the scene with Wesley where he's carrying her and she doesn't get why he's there.
1. Home - They had to give us the perfect Lilah right before they took her off the show and sent her to some hell dimension- She was pretty, she was snarky, and the scene with Wes and her contract killed me. Damn you ME...damn you...
