Right. Day 21 and 22, combined

So first of all, ooh, it's yet another meta day. Lilah, Destiny, and Noir. Go forth and meta.

It is also "Pimp-A-Fic" day, in which you slather and blather about amazing fic....not your own. Extra credit if it's not a super-famous Lilah fic everyone knows.

Oops, forgot to say *why* exactly it's so fabulous. I love the emphasis on description...Lilah places a lot of value on the tangible, and each detail about her things reveals a lot about her.

I hit a lot of my fave Lilah fics already, but here's another, less-heard-of one:
Magnolias and Irises by Wesleysgirl
It's Lilah/Lindsay, really fabulous characterization, set during Billy. Just fabulous.

So, Lilah and destiny. In Inside Out, Skip cited Wesley's relationship with Lilah as pre-destined, instead of citing, say, Wes kidnapping Connor. Thoughts?

It's curious, that's for sure. At the simplest level, sleeping with Lilah may have saved Wesley's life - he was so down after the Angel falling out that he could have lost all hope and gotten killed (much like he did in S5). You could certainly say that sleeping with Lilah gave Wesley the confidence that made him an effective player in S4's dramas. But it also cemented his separation from the gang at the Hyperion and maybe that contributed to Jasmine being able to hijack Cordy (cause she really avoided Wes during S4 ( ... )

for Not Cordy to set up the whole Angelus/killing Lilah arc is that it's all a distraction from the pregancy until it's too late to stop it. Nothing else makes sense to me.
Much like most of Wes's characterisation in S5.

There was all this subliminal suggestion of pregnancy post RoF. So maybe it wasn't Lilah or Wes that was important at all, maybe something to do with the baby?

The Beast stabbed Lilah's stomach instead of killing her, maybe it wanted to kill the kid but keep her alive cause hey, evil and helpful. Then when that didn't work Jasmine decided killing her was the only option.

So if their child had a destiny, Wes and Lilah would be shiny and important to the whole destiny reel.

Of course, this could just be cause I want to believe it but hey, Wes and Lilah with a kid? So cool and domestic PFA issues, so funny
