This is hilarious and brilliant and I love it. The ending was the icing on the cake.

(Also, Sarah Jane is one damn lucky woman. RAWR.)

I actually had this semi plotted and some of the dialogue written a LONG time ago - prior to Lis passing away. Just it had gotten set aside to write my other stories.

Yesterday I felt like writing crack. ;)

When Luke said she was out with Ian and John I KNEW that all of them were in on it.

Just brilliant. I was grinning through the whole thing.

Also, potentially my favorite line, though the whole is wonderful-
..which made Alan disappointed he hadn't made a play for Sarah Jane when he'd had his chance

Hehehe - yeah so I might just be a closet Alan/Sarah shipper. If he hadn't left at the beginning of series two I could totally have gone there.

He was hot and compared to Chrissie - well, Sarah Jane had to look like a super model. Who the hell cares about her age?

There was good chemistry between the two and though they've done well in fanfic I could go really either way with their potential in show canon.

Even though Lis shot down the idea in a Q & A.. plenty of people obviously thought/think about it though.

(-shifty look- I'm a closet Mr Smith/Sarah shipper.. I just haven't found a way to stick it into any 'fic yet)

You know it completely doesn't surprise me that she'd shoot it down in a Q & A. The entire age difference thing probably didn't sit well with her.

Hmmm... Now you challenge me... Mr. Smith/Sarah... Hmmm... You know I'm a sucker for oddball pairings. Let me think on that - it may be your belated b-day present.
