This might sound petty of me, but after over an hour of conversation at 4am where I don't get a word in edgewise I suddenly feel so much better about my life and my job ( Read more... )

Schadenfreude is not petty, neither is it always cruel. In this case you aren't rejoicing that he is having a bad time of it, but its reminding you of what you got. That is ok. I am glad that your life seems good in comparison.

*hugs* we should talk soon.

Oh, and I can't forget that I got to listen to a good amount of him regaling me with rp stories and games he's taken part in. Hell, at that point I really couldn't get a word in edgewise, gaming is a topic of coversation I like as long as it's an actual conversation.

Talking would be excellent, we must arrange it sometime, I've even got a cheapie little virgin mobile cellphone nowadays. I have my very own electronic leash.

Eeep! Financial suckage is never fun. We should hang out sometime though, when you have some free time.

I'm still trying to figure out where all my time goes. Well this week was week of doom to begin with since the 3rd shift manager's on vacation and I'm the lucky stiff that gets to cover it. I just have to make it through tonight and next week's wonky schedule and hopefully I'll be back to a schedule where I can try to see the light of day again. Which means time to hang out before NaNo frenzy sucks my little brain away. Rum, muses, and plot thinner.

You could always go after the FB manager job now that he's gone, god knows you've got plenty of "managerial experience" from SnS!

*shrugs* I dunno if I'd want it. Besides they passed me over for management there twice, and what can I say I'm a little meh, who needs 'em over that. There are other jobs out there, if I really wanted to get off my tail and do it, but I shan't... yet.
