Went in to Best Buy for a printer cable, walked out of Best Buy with a printer cable and the box set of Gankutsuou. Stupidly high amount of frivoulous spending, shan't be buying *anything* else until next paycheck. I choose to blame it on Geneon's announcement to cease dvd sales and distribution that took effect last month. Stupid fear of not ( Read more... )

I love Gankutsuou. And dvds are forever (aren't they?), so it's a good investment. :) That Geneon thing is so annoying, especially since they don't seem to know (or at least won't say) what they're going to do with their catalog. (Are we ever going to get the rest of KKM . . . ? )

People keep telling me "Oh, I'm sure they'll work something out with somebody." But I remember reading on ANN that the deal they had with ADV to distribute their titles after they ceased fell through. Which does bite, especially since I think half my Netflix list is Geneon titles.

It makes me squee to know you love it too. The Count of Monte Cristo has always been an awesome story to me, and the anime is *awesome*. I must now go and convert all my friends into admitting its awesomeness.
