It's been a week since the Oscars and all I can say now, after watching The Last King of Scotland, is that James McAvoy deserved a nomination. So Alan Arkin, who had like 20 lines the entire movie, gets the Oscar, but James wasn't even nominated? Meh. The ways of the Academy are beyond me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy Arkin got it, it could've ( Read more... )

Of course she is a Final Five. Leoben drops some clues (unless he's just fracking with our heads). Her memories of her past are to serve a purpose. Not to make her who she is, but to make her fit in with humans. Also that he says he knows her better than she does, and all the things he does know about her past. He's probably seen the memory constructs somewhere before. When he heard her repeat some of her implanted memories, he knew who she was.

Didn't we already have a Heroes hiatus? :(

Your collection of thoughts there start and end with two things which I also thought right as I saw them happen. Well except for the hot-Mohinder part.

I'm in agreement also about the hate of shape-shifting-chick. Even the vis-effect for her ability is annoying.

Niki still sucks, but that PS3 game she was playing looked kind of cool.

I've always thought that Kara seemed the best candidate for cylonity out of the Really Main characters - Lee's past is confirmed through Adama Sr., so one can't be a cylon unless the other one is too, and that just seems a bit too much ;) Baltar's story is better if he's not a cylon; Roslin, well, can cylons fake cancer? Billy, I still hope he might be one too; and so on.

Of course, this could be me so entrenched in denial that it's starting to look like logic. ;)

Even the vis-effect for her ability is annoying.

Yes! We can start our little hate-club! Though I have a feeling it's not going to be little at all...

You never told ME that! *feels totally cheated* ;)

I have a feeling that's what they were going for in the first place. Hate, hate, hate! :D I mean, even the name... she's Candice! ;)

I didn't?! Obviously I need to talk about or type more of what goes on in my head... :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for, though I'm unsure why. Is it so she can redeem herself later Eden-style? Or simply and purely so we can have someone to hate without remorse? :D

I first noticed him some 3 or 4 years ago, in Children of Dune and immediately fell for him. :) And he totally won me over with this modern version of Macbeth that he did for television. He's stunning. Have you seen it? The fact that he's Scottish and has that thick, lovely accent, helped a lot too! :)

In my mind James McAvoy is Pvt. James Miller from Band of Brothers. (Just as Jamie Bamber was “2nd Lt. Jack Foley” in space for a while…But now when I watch BOB I see Lee Adama in WWII…) McAvoy’s “Miller” was one of the new guys in Replacements, the fourth episode. He was the trooper Cobb made fun of for wearing the Presidential Unit Citation, even though he wasn’t with the unit in Normandy. While Hashey and Garcia made it to the end of the series (and were even featured in the interviews) Miller got his head split open in Nuenen. Not the biggest role, but enough to see “that guy from Band of Brothers” the entire time I watched Children of Dune ( ... )
