Wouldn't it be quite easy to determine the age of the kindle owner? Wouldn't it be quite easy to attach the identity of the kindle to the e-buying capabilities so kids don't buy adult stuff? Don't you need a credit card to buy anyway so parents have to buy for them? Wouldn't it be quite easy to allow people to compartmentalize the kidle's memory (or allow people to create password locked folders)? Or how about people take ownership of their electronics and put them where they can't be reached?

I don't know. This lack of freedom to buy whatever the hell I want, makes me less interested in a Kindle. Way to go Amazon.

Guh! They suck! That's not cool. I wonder who decided that it was OK to pull these titles. What is the difference between written smut (erotica) and manga smut? I think they also need to realize that censoring their titles will only hurt their sales. Censoring electronic titles does nothing to stop under-aged readers from gaining access to "pornographic/erotic" images or literature. Kids will find it on the internet easily (without Amazon) themselves. Amazon US is being stupid and I hope they reverse their decision soon.

the funny thing is amazon sells hardback yaoi on their regular site. I dunno what the difference is when they distribute it too.
