Happy Anniversary to Me!
Ok, so yesterday...GOOD DAY! I ended up going to my composition class and she said in front of the entire class that I was the only one to not use "passive voice" in my essay. YAY! Then, only 6 solid A's on the paper between her two classes. I was one of them. I rock. Then, she called out about 6 of us to stay after class. She had told the whole class about our Core 4 essay and how it was modified from doing an oral history. She outlined it and basically, it was going to suck big time. There were only 7 sources needed for a topic about social injustices and it had to be 7-10 pages long. Plus, we had like 6 modules and three quizzes to do. So, I stay after class and she decided to let the few of us that worked on the Tunnel of Oppression and did everything we were supposed to and more, go ahead and do the oral history. We are going to just interview someone that lived during the days of desegregation and Civil Rights Movement and then type up the transcript and a short paper detailing the history and whatnot. It only has to be 4-5 pages including the transcript. So much easier. So, yay. Also, we are able to work as a large group, smaller groups, or individually, and do our paper the same way. It is going to be SOOOO much easier and she is cutting back on our module activities as well as giving us extra credit by not making us do one of the quizzes or one of the module activities. I came out of that class super happy....and then I got outside.
It was pouring and of course, I have a class right after that I have to walk across campus for. That stunk. I got to the class, sat through it, was freezing, and lived.
Got out of class, looked at my phone, and I had a message. I listened to it. It was Morgan, the pastor's daughter and a good friend of mine with a job for me. She had a nannying position that she used to work and can't anymore. I called the lady and she told me to come in on Thursday but unfortunately I can't until Friday. So, I am going in there and they are going to be paying me 8-10 dollars an hour as opposed to my meager 6.75 at Publix right now. BOO Publix! So, if all works out, I should be quitting there sometime in the somewhat near future so I can work this other job on the days I normally would work there. So much more money.
Today was my anniversary. 10 months! I know, not all that long, but still an accomplishment, and doesn't feel that long. Anyhow, happy one year to Jodi and Oren! I have a test tomorrow in Algebra that I think I am pretty ready for but I never know until I sit down at the test and then feel like a complete and udder retard. So, wish me luck on that. I also have a presentation tomorrow that I was originally supposed to give before the break but due to technical difficulties, was unable to. So, that is tomorrow as well. Yay. I have a great week ahead of me. The next like, 3 weeks are going to suck royally. Whatever, I will live and then summer will be here.
Ever since I got back from spring break, all I want to do is lay out and relax. However, I have not been able to due to rain, rain, and work so far, so another glorious yay. I do not feel motivated and just despise doing any homework anymore. I am incredibly ready for SUMMER!!!!!!! Good grief, if you only knew. Ok, well it is now 12:39 so it is time for some sleep. Enjoy all and please, for the love of God, comment every once in a while. Otherwise, I feel this is useless. By the way, if it is just that I am a boring writer, let me know that too. I will try to write about more interesting things, yet remember how tedious and boring my life is. That is all. Good day!
