Guess what I am undertaking?

Archiving!  Archiving my truly insane number of ficlets.

I don't do epic, novel-length love stories like the great katieforsythe  or janeturenne .  You know what I do do?  Crack.  Crossovers.  Abject PWPs.

Selfishly, I adore the feedback I get on these little ficlets.  And I have been on LJ for YEARS.  It's time I got my act together and tried

You know, I got here just now by clicking on your name after reading one of those little ficlets (the one with Sherlock and John in a closet), exactly like you pictured it.
So, thank you! The work you put into this will be greatly appreciated by at the very least me.

As for the praise: I thought that closet-fic was completely brilliant, I especially liked the understateness of the dialogue (if that's a word), and for some reason my favorite line was "For what, sorry?" Somehow, I find that sorry really hilarious.

Thank you so much! I had kind of abandoned this project in the chaos of my semester (and also because I am so tragically incapable of understanding LJ), but I will revisit it at some point. There is a fic!index of all my kinkmeme fills- I hope you found it!

What you wrote about my city was not only the most condescending bullshit I had read all day (and I read a lot!), but factually inaccurate. I am not sorry, but I did do you the favor of deleting it afterwards, realizing that I didn't actually want to have a big wanky fight about it. But you were in the wrong, and I stand by that "fuck you" with every fiber of my Chicago-born soul.

I am going to refrain from calling you an idiot on your own live journal.

I will, however, suggest, that you Google the following term, "Is calling Chicago a rust belt city considered pejorative?"

I would also like to inform you my childhood years were spent growing up on Lunt in Chicago, the North suburbs of Chicago when my father's GI bill came pouring in and back to the Clark and Diversey area in my twenties.

And the late, great Mayor Daley Sr once proudly called Chicago "The Belt Buckle of The Rust Belt."

By the way, your user name sounded familiar. I checked w/some old cronies from CAPSLOCKHOUSE and we seem to remember you as quite a, how shall I put this?, thin-skinned, defensive, tiresome soul.

Maybe we should just consider this a draw and heretofore ignore each other in the future?
