No, I'm reasonably confident it isn't giant mutant crabs, but thank you all the same.

I'm generally pretty sanguine about unknown noises in the night. (jodo1978 might even be able to tell you I'm occasionally a little too sanguine about it.)

But what the bloody, frilly heck are making those little clicky-clicky noises outside? They happen in rounds like the songs of the cicada, but since when do cicada make clicky noises?

No, no, no. Cicadas chirp chirp chirp chirp like crickets (kinda, anyway). These noises are click click click click.

Too bad my super squirrel spies took the long weekend off to go visit their cousins. *g*

Hmm. Am not familiar with "click Click" insects.

Super squirrel spies. Hm. Novel, that. You can see my house from there? ... Oh, dear, I probably should be dressed better.

(I've been watching a little bit much dr. who, that last bit is coming out of my brain with a british accent.)

To be fair, I've noticed that a lot of the snarky lines in the back of my head sound like they're delivered by Brit characters of one sort or another. Perhaps it has something to do with the dipthongs?
