Someone on linguaphiles found the BBC had compiled what were essentially the most annoying phrases banded around the office.

My personal favorite was 'You can't have your cake and eat it, so you have to step up to the plate and face the music.'

I really hope the guy was trying to be funny.

Not bad. Chicago to see folk. Back at Sylvan again so my money isn't flowing entirely out of my pockets. Rooming in Albany Park. Not being eaten by weasels with bad hair.

Come to Chicago! Yes, yes! (Um... I probably should think of something particular you'd want to do up here.) Although I'm tempted to come down there since none of us have seen the house yet. When/what is that Shakespeare thing?

Sweet... Do come down to Bloomington... I have room now to house more than a guest... I have a guest bedroom and two couches (actually a third is a fold out bed) so I guess I could manage four guests if need be.
