Need advice...

I washed my garlic press in the dishwasher a few weeks ago, and now every time I do dishes, my whole dishwasher and its contents smell like garlic. (yes, I took the garlic out before putting it in there).

I've tried to do an empty load with detergent, but that doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, this is all I could find...

Getting Garlic Scents Out
If you've been chopping onion or garlic, the smell can stay on your hands for days afterward. If this prospect doesn't please you, scrub your fingertips with a paste made from baking soda and lemon juice and rinse well. The smell should disappear right away.

Or maybe put some vinegar in the dishwasher????? Do you still have your dishwasher guide? Maybe it has a tip in there? Sorry :(

I was also going to suggest vinegar. Maybe toss a cup or so in there, run it for a minute or two, then stop it and let the vinegar and water soak for a while????

Good luck!
