Quick update....

So I got everything that I needed to get done yesterday except for buying doors for Maya's TV cabinet.  But otherwise, I'm good to go!  And I'm not too exhausted!  Steve, however, is very, very tired.  He left for work this morning at 5am... big news at his company, so he has a lot of work ahead of him.  Poor guy.

Kay, so get this... we have having ( Read more... )

Ouch! Your poor shoulder! This has happened to you before? Because you don't seem to be freaking out. If I dislocated my shoulder rolling over in bed, I think I'd be in a dither.

So she starts kindergarten in the fall? When she's four? Wow, that seems so young! I'm sure she'll love it though and I'll bet the school is just as good as the other one. Wow, kindergarten. Before we know it these kids will be off to college.

That's great about the park! It looks beautiful. It must feel good to be a part of putting it back together. Yay for you guys. :)

My first dislocation was when I was 14, playing basketball. I had surgery at 16, and it didn't work. The last time I dislocated it was when I was pregnant with Maya... I sneezed. My shoulder sucks. It hurts like nothing else... seriously I'd rather go through labour. But it's happened so bloody often in my life, and at least now, Steve knows how to put it back in for me. Still, ouch.
The cutoff date is December 31st for kindergarten. So she turns 5 before December 31st. This, I am freaking out about. I can't believe that time has come already.

I can't believe it, either, wow - KINDERGARTEN. Such a big step! :-) And as you said, she's excited for it, right?!

I'm so sorry about your shoulder. Ouch is right. I can't believe Steve know how to put it back in, that would scare me. But I guess it's pretty usual for you now, right.... At least it hasn't happened in 4+ years at this point. Hopefully it'll be a long while again until it happens again (or never, hopefully).

She is definitely excited for it, and definitely ready. Now I have to find her immunization records, I have no idea where those are!
Yeah, my shoulder really hurts. It'll be worse tomorrow. So I am hoping that this will never happen again, but I think I might go an consult with a surgeon anyway. It will literally take years for the surgery to actually happen, so I have to make sure I'm healthy and not having any more children.

Wow, Maya in Kindergarden. That is such a big step! Is she excited??
If you can believe it, I started kindergarden when I was 3!! In our Catholic school system there is Jr. Kinder. & Sr. Kinder. Most kids start Jr. when they are 4 but since my b-day is in Nov. I was only 3 when I started in September.

Sorry about your shoulder:( That sounds very painful! How long does it usually take to get back to normal??

Maya is excited about going to school, she's definitely ready. Wow, did you go all the way to grade 13 too (we only go to 12 here)?
My shoulder sucks... it takes a couple of weeks to get back to normal, so this is definitely not very convenient.

Yeah, my shoulder sucks. I've always had a bum shoulder, but it's been a long time since it's happened. It sucks. Thanks though, it is starting to hurt a little less, but I'm medicated. :p
Thanks, T!

Ohh - I love Stanley Park! Glad to see people rallying to help with its repair. It would be a shame to not be able to clean it up due to cost.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder! That sounds ouchy! :(

I can not believe you are registering her for kindergarten already!! That's crazy! Tallia won't go for another year - she has to be 5 on Sept. 1 (next year she'll be 4 at the start of the year). I'm ok with that - I'm so not ready to be the parent of a kindergartener!! And, if we're still in the area, she'll actually stay in the same place she's already in - they do kindergarten through the school district, so she won't have to change schools until 1st grade. Phew! :)

Yah, and the park actually had to close down again to the public today, there were windstorms last night and some snow. AND, this one girl was running around Lost Lagoon, and got hit by a falling tree! She survived with minor injuries, but how scary!!
I am so not ready for Maya to be in kindergarten. Isn't that crazy! OMG, Monday!!
UGH.
