I'm posting this on LJ to tempt aoi and vie lol. I'm evil like that. Anyway for more extensive pics they're on my xanga.
Well, I'm now back up at RIT, and only unpacked maybe half my stuff. This post is pretty much going to be a picture post of some of the food that we had during restaurant week. Another post later will be that tag post that Helen tagged me with. Just too tired at the moment to think of what kinda weird habits I have, so until then, you can just stare at the food.
The following pics were from
City Lobster & Crab Company near Radio City Hall. Appetizers were a Ahi Tuna Parfait, and New England Clam Chowder. Main courses were 9oz New York Strip Steak and a Summer Lobster Pot Pie. Dessert was served and we got a Flourless Chocolate Cake and a Florida Key Lime Pie. Finally, my date for lunch, Eva.
The next restaurant I went to for lunch was
Asiate at the Mandarin Oriental. This place was definitely fancy. It was on the 35th floor with an overview of Central Park. They also have 1350 different wines for you to choose from if you're the wine drinker. We ordered one Lunch Prix Fixe and one Duck. I can't find the menu online, so i'm just going to give you an idea of what the Prix Fixe consisted of. It had Beet Salad for an appetizer, with a Pasta for a main course, and a Mango & Pineapple dessert.
Then we walked around and bumped into a few Mickey's so we took a picture with three of them.
Then we met up with Kayne and Anna to eat at Long Island City at a place called
Water's Edge. We took a free shuttle from 34th and the East River. It was their own private river boat which crossed over to Queens and dropped us off for dinner. We had Salad, Lobster Salad, and Soup for an appetizer. For the main course, I had some kind of pork dish, Mandy had a Salmon dish, Kayne had a duck, and Anna had cod. For dessert it was a sorbet of some sort. The chef also gave us an eggplant caviar sampler.
That concludes my Summer Restaurant Week of 2005.
