I'm sorry to say it alex, your friends were drug addicts, they just started the downward trend. I'm glad to hear your not a part of it, and if you are there is still hope, just get away from the shit and quik. I warn you, the gay scene in general is loaded with drugs, I got tons of it free for a little bit, but it could have been a long time. Misery loves company, it also breeds desperation and death. Where ever you go those drugs will be there, if you don't want to be around them you have to be choosey about your friends. I've learned this, and wow, I have a lot less friends than I used to. Only literaly man, you guys all were cool cats, and you helped me out a lot when I needed it. The gay scene was great for me in terms of giving me a place while I swam back into life. I have avoided so far, the major drug addiction and the like, but I saw it all around me even back then. Life is a big fat joke which you havn't heard the punchline for, we all eventually hopefully will find balance, if all else fails we are guaranteed it in death. You have the hopeless inexperience of hard times that will get you through it all. Most of all, you know what you don't want to be like, now all you have to do is figure out what you do want to be.

i hope you don't move to richmond before i get home... and i hope you at least wait til after you graduate... are you going to be going to vcu?? or are you moving up there and planning on working? well, i really hope i get to see you and say goodbye... we've been through a lot hun, and i promise, i haven't become a drug addict... and i'm proud of you for getting away from it before it consumed you...i was worried for a minute there... i'm proud of you in general, in every way really... though i know that you don't need my approval or anyone else's in order to do what you plan to do... so good luck sweetie, i hope everything works out for you.
