I'm a busy bee this week between major grant deadlines (I'm talking three large grants and two decent-sized ones all due in a couple of weeks) and rehearsal, so I apologize in advance if I'm scarce around these parts. I really want to visit Cahokia soon. Have you been there? I'm reading 1491, and the discussion about finding artifacts on the sites of ancient civilization makes me want to do something with my interest in history.

I haven't seen Cahokia, but it's definitely on the to-do list. And although they aren't as big, Spiro Mounds aren't too far from you--the raccoon etching they found there is really amazing.

Did you see Edgar Allen Poe's grave in Baltimore?
