Food log

I kept vegan (as far as I can tell) yesterday and ate some tasty stuff, so I'm recording it. As always, skip if you don't care.

Breakfast: Skipped, stomach was still icky. Had green tea with mint at work.
Lunch: Taco salad from Qdoba -- shell, lettuce, corn and bean salsa, pico de gallo, habanero salsa, and guacamole

just wondering, what's yr motivation for keeping vegan? belly issues or ethical or?

also, it doesn't look like you're getting much protein! careful!

Partly environmental reasons, but also cutting out dairy is helping me regulate my blood sugar better. I think it's helping with the migraines, too, and I would do anything to get rid of them. It's not a hard-and-fast thing, though, just a dietary guideline.

Ahhh, I see. Cool, I didn't know dairy products could contribute to blood sugar spikes, etc. How did you get the idea?

I didn't realize it could either. It was something I observed after a couple of days not eating dairy. It probably has as much to do with eating more whole, unprocessed foods, but the two tend to go hand in hand for me.
