Drink some coffee not tea. Then, you'll be hyper and have clear thinking. Do a T-chart (pros and cons). The end question you should ask is: Does the work interest me, do I feel appreciated/well respected with my collegues, and have the working environment/life i want?

If there's more negatives, you got negatives there i.e., leave. Divorce without obligation cuz they don't have any obligations to you i.e., with good projects to keep you interested, collegues who you like to work with, and job security/enrichment....

Gobble!

thanks for the advice.. it always gets more complicated when i think about coming back to the bay in mid-summer with no money, and rent, bills, etc etc. unfortunately, a pro is always stable money. but working overtime and into exhaustion at the end of last week made me realize how disconnected i'm feeling from all of this...

how you going? aren't you suppose to be heading somewhere new too?

heya lil cap! well, it looks like you're making the moves, huh? looks like they're offering you something nice to stay on board (isn't it always that way -- they're not nice until you want to leave?)

i can't advise much except that you should try to contemplate this in quiet and with as little emotional input as possible. try sitting quietly observing your breath for about 10 minutes, and just observe the things that come up when you think about the decision. i think it works for almost any decision in life.

in honor of your foods journal: today tmadin and i shared masala dosa, a channa puff, puri with aloo masala, and "maggi noodles" (ramen, drained of the water, sprinked with that msg-filled flavoring, with some veggies and ketchup added), and chai.

we've had better meals, but gotta get it all, huh? food here is excellent msot fo the time. i miss homecooked chinese food, japanese food, and mexican food tho. i miss you too!

good counsel from continents away :) thanks sylliegirl.

mmm... that sounds goooooood. well, except maybe the msg-filled flavoring. that's good too, in it's own scary way.

i'm enjoying getting updates from you via your blog, even when it sounds painful. miss you too!
