My trip to seattle
Yesterday was SO great!!
Talon took the day off, we got up early went for a run, then made the 11:30 ferry to Seattle.
We ate lunch at Fado, super yummy. We had mini sliders, tomato bleu cheese soup, and really greasy fry thingies

Spring Break

And camp winds to an end...
So I have had a great time at camp. I've even learned a few things. :) Today we finished preparing for the performance tonight, then we had out performance!
There were 6 different "tracks" the kids could be on. They were able to perform their main art form tonight. Those that had visual art, had their work hung in the 'gallery" for the ( Read more... ) -

Camp update, days 1-3
So I have been just too busy to write!! Here is what I have been up to:
My main class is theater and I am learning some great games to take back to my drama kids. This is followed by visual arts. We were put into groups, then in our groups we made a story that could be told in 5 scenes. Each member carved the picture of the scene in this foam/ ( Read more... ) -

Why did you choose Special Ed as a career?
I've never liked to do things the conventional way. So I skipped a day in my Ed Psych class to go visit my now husband since we didn't go to the same school. My roommate was going to fill me in. Camp~ day 0
We arrived, got settled in, had a great dinner, then went to the theater for a welcoming meeting then had a big kid meeting, then a dorm meeting, followed by a wing meeting, then I met with my kids. Yep lot's of meetings.

Camp day -.5
Every year I take a group of kids to an art camp at Fort Worden. It is a week long camp for middle school kids (7-9). We arrive on a Sunday play and learn all week, have a performace Thursday night then venture home on Friday. It is an awesome experience for the kids.
