ARGH. So I didn't get the job at Sam Ash because I'm not here for long enough. But he let me get $20 worth of stuff for coming all the way out there and I was annoyed and upset and ended up buying brushes and a 12-pack of picks

Sarah. I'm majoring in anthropology and gender studies. You think I don't get crap about that from everyone on the planet?

What helped me gain a little support from my parents was that every time I saw an article in the newspaper or a magazine about anthropologists doing cool things, I would cut it out and/or show it to them, so they know that at least a FEW of them are employed.

BTW, I joined a facebook group called "I picked a major I liked and in the future I'll be living in a cardboard box" or something like that. It's a nice support group, you should join. Lol.

Really? But you seem so sure about what you want to do and I'm so unsure. But that's a good idea...except I don't know what I'm going to do with my majors. I'll probably change it again soon anyways because that's what I do.

And I'm not going to join that group because I don't know if I really like my major, and I also will NOT be living in a cardboard box! That's precisely what I'm trying to talk myself and my parents out of thinking! (I know it's a joke and whatnot, but I'm feeling fairly emotional about that subject as of late. :) )
