I am excited for the three day weekend, so i can catch up on your new blog!
you have written such wonderful things about the human-animal bond - it's incredibly poignant and such a testament to the fabulous home you gave healy. i am happy that you are looking to share that same home and dedication with another dog in need of rescue.
the slugs and i wish you all the best in your search for canine companionship.
Petfinder is the best. i think it really has helped get sooooo many homeless pets find new families.

I need to get caught up on your blog too - I've had trouble logging in but will wait it out so I can see what you and the slugs are up to. I miss reading about all of you.
Thank you for being supportive of me and my loss and for loving so many animals.

i think i just might have found my new friend, i can meet her and adopt her this sunday. there is a picture of her snuggling with a cat! so sweet, i've been contacting so many rescues and it can be a challenge to communicate. i want to help out somehow so i'll look into volunteering once we get our new friend settled in. i'm also puppy proofing the house this week : )
